Line-X, Barnstaple
Line-X are a company based in North Devon specialising in two part polyurethane elastomer bed-liner spraying. The company operate from a 500 square meter warehouse with a South facing roof on a 15° degree inclination, making Solar PV a both financially and economically feasible.
Here at Enlighten Systems we installed a 10kWp system made up of 42 Sharp NU Solar Photovoltaic panels and a specialist highly functional SMA TriPower 10000 TL.
We estimate that based on National Government SAP calculations the 10kWp system will produce 7,904kWh of electricity per year and result in a 4,489.47kg reduction in CO² emissions. However, due to higher irradiation factors in the South West this system could in reality exceed National Averages.
This system is likely to generate an annual tax free Feed-in-Tariff income of £3,106 at a tariff rate of 37.8p per kWh generated. Line-X will also save around £474.00 a year on electricity bills and earn £310.60 per year through exporting any excess power generated back to the nation grid. Line-X can expect an index lined income and savings figure of £3,890.60 per annum for 25 years, resulting in a return on investment period of 7 years, and generating a profit of £76,089.75 over the 25 year feed in tariff period.
